Benefit set for McDermott family

The Pueblo West Twisters 4-H Club, along with family friends, are holding a memorial fundraiser benefit for the family of Lyndsi McDermott from 6-9 p.m. July 6 at DJ's Pizzeria/Tombstone Saloon, 1980 W. Palmer Lake Drive.

McDermott, a standout athlete and student at Pueblo West High School, died unexpectedly in June.

Food, friends, karaoke and live entertainment, featuring Alan Valentine will be available.

The meal will include pizza, salad and a drink for $5.75 for adults and $4.25 for children 10 and younger if purchased in advance. Charge for the meanlat the door will be $7 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger. Donations also are appreciated.

Tickets may be purchased in advance at DJ's or at the Colorado State University Extension office.
